First of all, the team @ CKSTEM would like to wish you a Happy Canada Day.
We would also like to thank people all across Canada to sign up for the CMSC. We are very excited to serve hundreds of families and students across Canada. If you know any other math enthusiasts, you may also ask them to join you in the contest. We will close registration very soon. Please note that our volunteers are working extraordinarily hard to make this program possible for you. We will appreciate it if you follow the instructions in the emails as well as on the website and take action promptly.
Let's get started with the contest now. First things first, you all are given access to the CKSTEM learning portal which will be used for training and the contest. Less than 50% of participants have logged into this portal so far. We need all of you to access this portal ASAP so that we can resolve any issues before the contests start. We have posted a lot of training material for you to prepare for the contest.
To help you access this portal, please watch the following video.
If you are not able to log in even after you watch the video, please contact us @ info@ckstem.org. As you can understand, this is an online contest and you can't be part of it without accessing our online portal. Please make it a priority to log in ASAP so that we can get started.
Few additional reminders:
- We will resume our online weekly training sessions on the next Wednesday at 6 pm ET. Please register for these sessions to take advantage of the live training.
- We will start posting practice tests on July 6th. These practice tests will give you an idea of the difficulty level of the contests. The difficulty level of the contests will increase slightly toward the last couple of tests. As some of you have signed up for the contest level that is higher than your school grade, after taking practice tests please let us know if you would like us to change the grade of your contests. You can write a higher grade or lower grade contest. We don't recommend you to write a grade lower than the grade level you completed in June 2020 as it will be unfair to younger students.
We wish you all the best. Happy Canada Day once again.
